The local community is important to Social Monkey and we desired to perform outreach where it was most needed. There are so many great organizations out there doing great work, it was hard to decide who to pair with so we decided to help them all! There was nothing out there like it, so Social Monkey launched a series of events for the North Charleston business and nonprofit community. Merge is a networking series that takes place in the heart of North Charleston at the Navy Yard. With an emphasis on connecting local businesses to one another, guest sponsors have the opportunity to showcase their business or cause and exchange ideas and contacts in a casual environment. Each event, we raise awareness and/or money for a local cause or nonprofit.

November 17, 2011 – (at 10 Storehouse Row at Navy Yard at Noisette) - Merge “Welcome Home” Oyster Roast! Food, drinks and good times by all. We helped Lowcountry Local First kick off their Buy Local Month campaign and helped to raise awareness and money for this dynamic organization. Thanks to our sponsors: Charleston Mattress, Anna Bell’s Kitchen, Stage Presence, and the Navy Yard at Noisette Business District Association.
October 20, 2011 – (at 10 Storehouse Row at Navy Yard at Noisette). Join us in the spirit of Oktoberfest, becuase every event is better when you add fest or palooza to it! May 18, 2011 – (at 10 Storehouse Row at Navy Yard at Noisette) – This month, Social Monkey paired with the Navy Yard at Noisette, Palmetto Behavioral Health System, Charleston Defense Contractors Association, Howe Roofs, and Anna Bells Kitchen, to network and to raise money and awareness for Palmetto Scholars Academy (PSA). We helped to raise appx $1,000 for PSA. We had live entertainment from the Folly Beach Bluegrass Society, food and drinks from Anna Bells Kitchen and a good time was had by all.
April 20, 2011 – (at Runaway Bay Restaurant at Riverfront Park at Navy Yard at Noisette) – This month, Social Monkey paired with the Navy Yard at Noisette, Runaway Bay, and Live Oak Consultants to network and raise money and awareness for Lowcountry Orphan Relief. Live music and some great authentic Jamaican food complimented the scenic backdrop of the Cooper River perfectly.
March 16, 2011 - (at 10 Storehouse Row at Navy Yard at Noisette) – This month, Social Monkey paired with the Navy Yard at Noisette, Anna Bells Kitchen, All Occasions Event Rentals, and Biohabitats to network and bring awareness to all the restoration work of Biohabitats and our local marshlands. Entertainment, drinks and a very successful Oyster Roast were enjoyed by over 150 people.
November 18, 2011 – (at 10 Storehouse Row at Navy Yard at Noisette) – This month, Social Monkey paired with the Navy Yard at Noisette, and Anna Bells Kitchen to bring awareness to all the great things the Michaux Conservancy does for our community. Food, drinks, entertainment all made for a great time of networking and socializing.
